Osian shines in the French Riviera

Osian Pryce won the FIA European Historic Rally Championship Category 3 class for the third time in as many events when he mastered the Rallye d’Antibes Côte d’Azur.

Co-driven by Dale Furniss, Osian led Category 3 after day one, but on the wide and fast French Riviera roads his Wales Motorsport Escort RS1800 Mk2 was outpaced by the more powerful Porsches and BMWs, as he completed the first four stages 10th historic overall.

Over the next two days, Osian maintained the Category 3 lead and climbed up the overall leaderboard – with a spectacular run over the twisty final day sealing an excellent result.

“We finish Rallye d’Antibes Côte d’Azur fourth in the FIA European Historic Rally Championship and top of Category 3, which was our main aim for the weekend,” said Osian.

“Achieving anything more was always going to be tricky on these roads against bigger engined cars, so I think we can be pleased with the performance.

“A big thank you to the Wales Motorsport team and to Dale for all their hard work as always!”
