A performance to be proud of

Osian Pryce finished a sensational third overall on the Costa Smeralda Historic Rally, Round 2 of the 2026 FIA Historic Rally European Championship for Pre-1992 cars.

Driving his Wales Motorsport-built Ford Escort RS1800 Mk2, he was only beaten by a much more powerful Porsche 911 and Lancia Stratos!

Co-driven by Dale Furness, Osian dropped to fourth on the penultimate stage, but a big push over the final test (missing the stage win by just 0.2s) rewarded him with a magnificent podium result.

“This is a performance to be proud of,” said Osian.

“Overall stage win, dominant category win and an overall podium in our Wales Motorsport Escort that’s designed for gravel – not Tarmac!

“It’s rewarding to push ourselves and the car on some amazing rallies in the FIA European Historic Rally Championship – and bring on the next one!”
